Think of your body like a car. Just like a car needs different types of fuel to run properly, your body needs different types of nutrients to stay healthy and function well. These nutrients are divided into three main categories called "macros," which stands for macronutrients. They are like the big building blocks that make up your meals. The three macros are:

]]>Ryno Power protein is a blend of high-quality whey protein concentrate, isolate, and hydrolyzed proteins. This makes it highly digestible and allows it to be easily absorbed into the body.1 Hydrolyzed proteins may also help those with upset stomachs or gut conditions, like irritable bowel syndrome.
Most people learn early in their training that protein promotes muscle growth. But it also acts as a source of recovery with naturally occurring BCAAs when used during strength training.2 Additionally, Ryno Power’s protein, which is rich in BCAA’s, are particularly effective as a strategy to prevent muscle loss over time.3
Another way that Ryno Power protein can help is by becoming the best meal replacement using the most filling macronutrient. Of the big three macronutrients--proteins, carbs, and fats--protein helps you feel fuller for longer, giving you more nutrition with fewer calories.4 Protein has also been shown to boost metabolism5 and satiate appetite6, which can help shed fat and increase muscle.
Ryno Power protein is more than just a way to keep muscles growing. It’s a delicious source of BCAA’s, an incredibly healthy meal replacement, and a way for all athletes to maintain their charge towards health.

]]>Ronnie recently went to the 2019 UCI World Championships in Zolder, Belgium where he raced the 13-14 Challenge Cruiser and 13 Challenge Class. He was up against 78 riders in Cruiser and 175 riders in Class. In the 13 Challenge class, he won every lap he raced and then went on to win the World Championships. He was the only rider from the US to do so.
John, Ronnie's father, said that this was Ronnie's most difficult race to date.
"Ronnie [said] he was very nervous in the main event. All of the world competitors had a lot more technical skills than US riders. Five of the riders that made the main event in last years World Championship made it this year." Needless to say, Ronnie did well despite the stiff competition.
"[There was] the South American National Champions, Australian National Champion, [and the] European National Champion... Ronnie was among them for the main event."
With the support of his family, as well as coaching from the renowned Netherlands trainer Jorg de Louw, Ronnie worked to shore up weaknesses and build his strategy and finish strong. "[de Louw] kept Ronnie focused and motivated. Without a doubt, he had a big influence on us winning the World Championships. He had a lot of track experience and secrets. We are blessed and so thankful," John said.
Adding to the difficulty was the 105-degree heatwave sweeping through Europe, with 100% humidity on the track. The weather was a huge factor in the race, with Ryno Power's Hydration Fuel providing a quality source for Ronnie.
"A lot of water and hydration [Fuel] were the keys to staying cool. Thank you for all the Ryno Power Supplements leading to this race. Ryno Power is making a difference retaining the number 1 status!"

½ cup of Ryno Power Vanilla Protein
½ cup of pancake mix (your choice!)
1 cup of coconut milk

Ingredients:
2 scoops Ryno Power Vanilla Protein Powder
Açaí berry puree (we recommend Sambazon organic pure açaí berry puree)

]]>
Makes about 20-25 protein balls.
Ingredients:
2 scoops Ryno Power Chocolate Protein Powder
1 cup old fashioned oats
½ cup organic peanut butter
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
⅓ cup organic honey
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbs chia seeds
1 cup flaxseed
⅔ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
Instructions:
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup peanut butter or nut butter of choice
1/4 cup coconut sugar (or light brown sugar)
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 large egg
1 large egg white
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 scoops Ryno Power Vanilla Protein
2 teaspoons coconut flour
3 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, coconut sugar, salt, egg, egg white, and vanilla extract. Mix briskly until ingredients are well blended. Sprinkle the baking soda over the top. With a rubber spatula, work the protein powder and coconut flour until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips at very end.
3. The dough should be slightly sticky but not "mushy", depending on the nut butter you use. If you need to make the dough more firm, add protein. For a looser dough, sprinkle the batter with milk or almond milk and fold until it is the desired consistency.
4. Drop tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet. With your fingers, gently flatten the tops of the cookies (they won't spread but will only puff up in the oven). Bake for 5 to 6 minutes, until the edges are barely golden brown and dry to the touch.
5. Let cookies cool and ENJOY!

Trevor Bollinger has set a place in the top ranks of the GNCC for years. 2019 was revving up to be his year until an injury forced him off the track. We got a chance to catch up with Trevor about his recovery, his training, and his connection to Ryno Power.
]]>
You can tell the difference. It’s a huge difference. I never want to go back to any others, [Ryno Power] is head and shoulders above the majority of the brands out there.
Ryno Power: How's the recovery going?
Trevor: It’s going a lot better than it was going. I guess it’s been about a month. I was at the track and had to go to the emergency room. I finally got past that and then now we’re on summer break. I’m just taking my time getting back into things. In the next two weeks probably I’ll start bike training and our first race is in September [at Black Sky.]... It happened at a bad time but at a good time, too.
RP: As far as the points, you’re still sitting 5th overall. That’s amazing considering you’ve been out for two of those motos.
TB: I was close to Stu [Baylor] there. That’s the top 3 or 4 that pulled away. At least I have a few points to cushion.
RP: With getting back into training and racing, why do you choose Ryno Power for your supplements?
TB: I like all the natural products, especially the new bar you came out with. It really fits in my diet of being [free of] processed stuff or anything like that. I trust your products and I try not to eat any processed stuff.
RP: How does Ryno Power compare to other brands or products you've tried?
TB: You can tell the difference. It’s a huge difference. I never want to go back to any others, [Ryno Power] is head and shoulders above the majority of the brands out there.
[When I started] I was just taking a bunch of different stuff, but I wasn’t sticking to a brand. I would just go to a bike shop and pick up some stuff or wherever. I actually got introduced to [Ryno Power] when I got on to Johnny Campbell’s team. You guys sponsored that team and that’s how I first started it. And once I started it, I never wanted to go to anything else.
RP: What are some of your favorite Ryno Power products for your training and racing that you use every day?
TB: Probably my favorite is the Carbo-Fuel, especially if you’ve got a busy day it’s hard to get all the calories. Throughout the day, if you’re doing stuff all the time and then you want to eat, then you get sick [from food weighing you down.] I like having that for my bicycle rides and keep from getting real weak and hungry. I ride with it in my Camelback for races. It’s a game-changer.
I like the bars, too. I carry them along because it’s easy to pack for that long bicycle ride and get some quick calories in you.

Ryno Power had the chance to sit down with Hunter Lawrence, the new pro Motocross racer Hunter Lawrence for Factory Connection Geico Honda looking to make a splash at his debut at Hangtown.
"We still accomplished a lot, a lot more than we thought. But that’s just me being complacent and hard on myself. So after the phone call, they were ready for us to come over whenever. I was ready to go the next day, obviously. But as you can imagine a 15 or 16-year-old kid that just got a phone call from France telling him that we want you to come ride for the Factory Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 team for the World Championships."
]]>Ryno Power: We last saw you out at the Cal Classic a couple weeks ago, at the Fox Raceway in Pala, CA. How was the race? Good to get some action before your pro debut?
Hunter Lawrence: It was alright actually, we wanted to do some preseason races. In Europe we always have pre-season races,… 2-3 pre-season races before your season opens. It’s a great experience, because you can ride at a practice track for the whole offseason, and you can be killing it and feeling great, and feel that the bike is really good and that you’re really good, and then you come to the first race and everything is different. Your bike doesn't feel the same, it doesn't handle the way you want it to under race conditions, you’re forced to take other lines that you’re not familiar with on some laps for passing, and your bike may not handle as well, or yourself, …you may not handle it well. So, it’s great just to get some gate drops before the season starts.
That was the goal of that, and it was good. It’s different. You know, the short intense races. The tracks not really rough, to an extent to where I can stand out heads and shoulders above the other guys, but it was good. I was happy with it. Everyone was fast there on that track. It was cool!
RP: Good to hear. That’s one of those cool events where you get all these regional area pros from SoCal coming out to compete. There’s obviously a big difference between the regional pros, to your typical Lucas Oil Pro Motocross pro racers. Still, at the end of the day, getting gate drops (as you said) is the most important thing.
"Racing is the best practice."
HL: Exactly, there’s no better practice than racing, you know? Practice and Racing... you can’t beat it. You look at the (Aldon) Baker’s factory and they just replicate races each time. Just from what you see there’s always like two guys next to each other when they are about to do a practice moto or whatever it may be. Racing is the best practice. It was good for us to evaluate our bike as well. We actually went back to Pala Tuesday [after the event]--as if I didn’t spend enough time there that week! We went back for a test and made even more progress on the bike, which I’m really happy with. We got to test our bike in race conditions, and it gave us even more direction in what we needed to do and what we were looking for. It pointed us in a good direction. I was happy with it. I felt good. Just the same as everyone else in pre-season. Everyone feels great, fit and strong.
RP: Are you anxious to see how you’ll stack up? You really won’t know until Hangtown. You take everything you’ve learned over the offseason and apply it. But until you get that first Moto 1 at Hangtown...HL: Exactly! Every pre-season interview sounds the same. Everyone’s stoked on their bike set up, and they’re stoked on how fit and strong they feel. Everyone feels great, but like you said… after the first round, or first couple rounds even. You start to figure out who’s in the game.
RP: Obviously you’re using Ryno Power full time, which we love to see. What kind of products have you been using personally and what is your favorite that you take on a consistent basis?
HL: I’m happy to be running the Ryno Power products! I was buying it in Europe for nearly 3 years. My teammate at the time, Dylan Ferrandis, was using it. Obviously, that caught our eye. We were so new at the world of being a professional athlete. We were trying to learn from everyone we could. We saw them, super fit and highly recommended it. Heiko (Ken Roczen’s dad) suggested it as well.
I’m pumped to be on the program here in the States. I love the Hydration Fuel, on riding days and race days, you know. Just to keep yourself fueled. I find it makes a big difference, just with hydration. As opposed to drinking five water bottles to two Ryno Power bottles with Hydration Fuel. It [feels like] the same equivalency, almost. That helps out a lot
I use the protein powder. I use it for cooking, in a protein shaker bottle. I use it for snacks for when we’re making oatmeal or porridge. I’ll do porridge with a scoop of vanilla protein powder in it, and that’s awesome. Oats are a just bit of carbs and not really high on protein, so it’s awesome to add the Ryno Power in that as well, and it tastes awesome. It’s not you feel like you’re munching away on some creatine protein bar or something that tastes like ****. It’s enjoyable and at the same time it’s carbs and protein. It’s good fuel to replace your muscles that you use when you are riding or training.
Those ones are probably my favorite. After a heavy day I’ll use the Recovery capsules. I mix that in with my protein drink at the end of the day. It’s just easier. I just crack the capsules and mix it in with my protein powder in my drink. It goes all down and gets in my body as quick as possible after a training day.
We take [The new Mana Protein Superfood bar] for riding. It’s an easy snack to take on a cycle. Tastes great. Chocolate and peanut butter.
That’s my “go-to” Ryno Power program!
"...it’s not you feel like you’re munching away on some creatine protein bar or something that tastes like ****."
RP: Since you’ve been working with Ryno Power product for a few years, what do you see personally with Ryno Power compared to other supplement companies that stands out.
HL: I think the biggest thing that caught me was that I feel like you could go and find a protein powder or recovery supplement anywhere. But what stands out to me about Ryno Power is that it’s a brand built around our sport, which I don’t have to worry about any issues with it. Like having steroids in it for example—I’m not worried about anything being on the WADA substance banned list. It’s safe. It’s everything specific to what we do and what we need as athletes in this sport. Everything’s simple and easy. It’s not some big body building dude on the protein powder bag telling you you’re going sleep better, lift heavier, and the like. Honestly, the thing that really caught me was that it's a brand built around our sport. The stuff doesn't bulk you. The way I use it, it doesn't make me bulky. I know I’ve had some protein powder from other companies that made me feel bulky. They puff you up a little bit. I take my protein with water and I enjoy it.
There’s a lot of stuff out there that helps with recovery or this and that, but obviously it’s got banned stuff in it. A lot of stuff out there for the normal day-to-day gym goer or fitness freak that couldn’t care less about the WADA banned list. That’s a big thing. Whenever you’re looking at stuff, you’re like “oh gee what’s on the list… oh, I don’t know it’s a little bit iffy”
The fact that the guy who started Ryno Power (co-founder Ryan Hughes) was a racer himself so he’s been through all of it before. he knows the highs and the lows. Or when your body’s feeling smashed after a big day. It’s great. I highly doubt that a guy who’s a personal trainer in the gym could make a brand as good for a motocross athlete. As Motocrossers, we need to be lean and theoretically as light as possible.
RP: What’s really cool to us, and what we want to get into a little more with you, is to see both you and your brother (Jett) race in the same class. That’s really awesome! We want to know more about your story. Your background more so. We obviously know you’re from Australia, but more about your hometown, what got you coming to the states?
HL: [Cal Classic] was the first time me and Jett raced each other. That was cool… Glad I beat him! Couldn’t have little bro beating me. There was a little pride on the line at that race.
My little town in Australia, Landsborough, in Queensland. it’s a small town. Not really in the city, like 35-40 minutes away from the beach.
Dad rode. He was actually originally into drag cars (racing). At the time, when I was a baby, I couldn’t drive a kid’s top fueler, but I had little kid’s dragster. You couldn’t drive one of them until you were 12. They bought me a little bike, and we just did it for fun, you know? Camping trips and stuff like that. Going to ride parks like Pala, but not as good in Australia obviously, but they’d have a ride park kind of thing – camp, doing Euro trails, you could ride the moto track and stuff like that. That was honestly all we did, until like I was 12, then wanted to do it for real.
And then it took off! We got looking into it trying to just get better. You do the whole thing – you go to coaches, and stuff like that, riding schools. We just tried to get better and better. Just kept looking and setting goals. We started racing in the B’s for the Junior World Championships. That opened our eyes up a lot. We were fortunate enough to get a chance to get selected to race for the Junior World Championships for Australia. Obviously, we got older, we got more competitive. The want and the drive lit the fire more and more. Long story short we wanted to be in America. That was the end dream.
"We thought that there was something obviously needed to be learned in Europe for us to stand a chance in America, to even be able to stay there."
We looked at all the Australian racers that went straight from Australia to America and they just didn’t quite make it. Whereas Chad Reed, Michael Byrne, Brett Metcalf, they all went to Europe first, and then to America. The boys that went to Europe and then to American had a lot higher success than any other Australians or New Zealanders that went to America. [Ben Townley] went to Europe won a world title, he ended up in America. He’s done really well here as well. Josh Carpenter went to Europe as well. They’re all extremely good riders. We thought that there was something obviously needed to be learned in Europe for us to stand a chance in America, to even be able to stay there. We tried that. That was the one thing with the Jr World Championships.
We didn’t have any money; we couldn’t afford to race overseas. That was the only way because Motorcycling Australia would cover my plane tickets and travel and stuff like that. We were fortunate enough at that time we were with KTM Australia (Yamaha Australia later) on that they had good enough contacts that they could organize a bike for us overseas which was a perfect scenario. It really helped us out a lot. We just tried it and see what happens. I think it was like 2015, I rode a stock Yamaha YZ125, I got 3rd in the Jr world championships against the factory KTM boys, and the factory Yamaha kid, and all the other junior factory prodigy kids coming through on the European factory teams. That opened up some eyes because very rarely do the Australian 125 riders perform so well on a world stage. [Australia] have had pretty good results in the past, but because of the environment we’re at in Australia, as opposed to the environment kids are in overseas. They train like a pro. They live like a pro basically. It’s what we lacked.
We still accomplished a lot, a lot more than we thought. But that’s just me being complacent and hard on myself. So after the phone call, they were ready for us to come over whenever. I was ready to go the next day, obviously. But as you can imagine a 15 or 16-year-old kid that just got a phone call from France telling him that we want you to come ride for the Factory Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 team for the World Championships.
It was either, “Do we stay the same financially because we got nothing to lose and go chase our dreams.” Or “stay the same financially and follow the sheep of the Australian motocross scene.”
RP: That is gnarly! We generally knew your background, but we didn’t know it was this far in-depth. We’ve had a lot of respect for you as an athlete, and your brother Jett. But this brings a lot more to the table with where you came from and that's awesome to see. You’re very lucky to have parents like that who are willing to sacrifice to allow you to be able to reach for your dreams.
HL: Sure. It was one thing that was a big factor in it. We never really had any money. We struggled to put food on the table for weeks. We nearly lost the house when dad was struggling with work. A bunch of builders went broke on him. If we had money, if we had the house, if we had nice things that might have been something holding us back. It was either, “Do we stay the same financially because we got nothing to lose and go chase our dreams.” Or “stay the same financially and follow the sheep of the Australian motocross scene.” We went for our dream. Unfortunately, we still went backwards when we moved over [to Europe], financially anyhow.
In one point of view, it helped the mentality aspect “to make it or break it.” On your tough days, there’s always the thought of “oh I can just go home”. This is home now. This is our life.
RP: What a tale your life is becoming! You’re really creating that story now. Tell us about on your feelings on how you feel your Pro Debut will be at Hangtown. What involved in your cross training off the bike? How’s it all going?
HL: It’s different over here. In Europe it almost feels like you can train more since it’s so cold in the winter. It feels like your body can take more of a workload I feel in the cold. Or at least I feel that way. I’m enjoying it, not having such a wet winter. Not cold and freezing my ass off all the time!
It’s easy to get caught up at the practice track. Or everyone’s worried about what everyone else’s doing. I’m just doing my own thing.
It’s good. I’m happy. The lead up to Supercross was a bit of a heartbreak sort of thing with being injured, but that happens. That’s part of the sport. That’s part of the experience, a rollercoaster. You got to fall down to learn sometimes. But I’m looking forward to it. It’s been a long time since I’ve raced. The last time I raced was at Nations last year, so I’m excited. I just wanted to get into the season. I don’t really have any expectations. I’m just focusing on myself. It’s easy to get caught up at the practice track. Or everyone’s worried about what everyone else’s doing. I’m just doing my own thing. Me, my dad, my mechanic, and Jett as well. We just work together. We know what we’re doing and when I’m riding, my dad can tell. And I know myself, you know when you’re riding well, and your speed’s good and stuff like that.
Off the bike’s been good. I’m doing the same sort of stuff I did in Europe. There’s not much to say. Working hard and smart. Trying not to burn out before the season. Give ourselves a good amount of room to build, and peak in the season, not before round 1. I’m excited to get underway
RP: We’re excited for you, happy to be working with you as a part of our program. You’re a great individual and awesome for our brand. We’re looking forward to seeing you line up at Hangtown with the Factory Connection Geico Honda team!
HL: Appreciate it! So am I! I can’t wait! It’s been a long off season so I can’t wait to get going and get racing back under my belt. It should be awesome!
I’m super pumped. It’s a dream team. The facility, the workshop, the team members, my mechanic, the owners Jeff and Ziggy, those boys have been awesome to me. It’s been like a family. I can’t say enough about them. Same with Lucas Mirtl (agent from Wasserman). Lucas made the transition for us to America has been so great. From taking care of visas to helping us with housing, etc.

]]>There are plenty of supplements on the market that all generally do close to the same thing. Some are cheaper than others, some “get results quicker” than others, and some have a lot more ingredients than others. This is what sets Ryno Power apart from competitors. Ryno Power started with formulas created for triathletes and tweaked them a little bit to encompass the performance need from our athletes. We voluntarily send our products through various forms of testing to ensure the highest quality outcome. These products are all tested by a variety of elite athletes to ensure performance. Another reason Ryno Power stands out as the sports car on the supplement lot is because of the ingredients we choose to use.
We have access to ingredients from all over the world that then get manufactured here in California. Our products contain no additives, no artificial flavoring, no fillers, no aspartame, and no creatine. While Ryno Power might be on the higher end of the price spectrum, we use all-natural, non-GMO, organic ingredients whenever possible and use the least amount of ingredients to keep the healthy, all-natural advantage. When training with Ryno Power, you can expect quality ingredients like organic raw cacao and organic vanilla bean extract in the proteins. We also use veggie capsules, two to three forms of caffeine in our energy supplements, and a whey blend of three different proteins for different rates of absorption. Non-GMO natural flavors and non-GMO complex carbohydrates are used throughout the product line as well. We continuously stand out as a company that goes above and beyond and cuts no corners.
The premium brand identity doesn’t stop at the formulas and ingredients. It flows through all facets of the brand including those who use the products. Professional athletes have been coming to Ryno Power for the past seven years looking to become a part of the program and use the supplements to excel their athletic careers. In 2010, Eli Tomac and Aaron Gwin, both very successful athletes, came to Ryno Power to learn more about the product and immediately started taking the supplements. In the past seven years, we have grown our sponsorship program to over 80 professional athletes that have chosen Ryno Power to be their supplement of choice including champions such as; Nic Long, Anneke Beerten, Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, Aaron Gwin, Jared Graves, Chris Macclugage, and more.
Next time you’re comparing brands, pricing, or supplements - you’ll know the differences as to how and why Ryno Power stands out above the rest. If you have been considering the products and want to know the best bang for your buck, check out The Essentials Package! It has our Non-GMO Electrolyte Formula, the Chocolate Protein powder made with organic raw cacao, the Gladiator Pre-Workout with all-natural non-GMO flavoring and comes with a free blender bottle for only $119.95.
]]>Job Title: Sports Nutrition and Conditioning Specialist
Period: January 2009 to Present
So what led you to pursue a career in the field of nutrition and fitness?
As a lot of the athletes in the motocross community begin, I was about 5 years old when I got a on my first dirt bike. Since throwing a leg over the bike, it’s safe to say that I was hooked on motocross and in it for the long run!
From there, I competed as an amateur until 2005 and raced the AMA Supercross series in 2006, 2007 and 2008. It was an amazing experience while it lasted, but after a string of injuries, with the last injury that put me into a coma, it was time to move onto the next chapter in life.
It took me a while to really know what my calling was (career to pursue). Most times I would be thinking about what direction to head in, while I was either still hitting the gym, or road cycling because of my love for it. Then after a great conversation that I had with my close friend Greg Albertyn (3 time World Champion, AMA Outdoor Champion), the direction became clear. Food and fitness!
Throughout your career, what are some of your accomplishments you’ve had?
I have had the blessing of working with so many amazing athletes and non-athletes as well! To keep it short, handful of highlights in my career on who I’ve worked with and the accomplishments they’ve achieved are; Tyler Bowers through several Arenacross Championships and a Supercross win as a backup rider, Malcolm Stewart and leading him to his first podium finishes in Supercross, Vicki Golden with her success as a WMA racer, 3 X-Game gold medals and a bronze medal, Robbie Madison training for some of his record breaking jumps and to get a Paramount Pictures Movie award for best stunt man, Matt Bisceglia with several Supercross podiums and his huge success as a Factory Suzuki 450 backup rider, Mitchell Falk and Sean Cantrell with a Loretta Lynn’s Championship and over 15 other Championships throughout one season of racing in the amateur ranks.
WIth all of the success in Motocross, is that the only sport you invest your time in?
Going up as a racer in the sport, and aside from my knowledge I’ve obtained through school, that is an easy niche to cater to. I know how they feel, what they experience as a racer, the psychology behind it, and what it truly takes to succeed. However, to answer you question, NO. I when to school to understand the science behind the athletic body, the demands, stress, fitness, reactions etc, I really can apply everything into pretty much any sport. Aside from motocross, I have a big passion for cycling, and have/do work with cyclist as well!
Now besides the fitness side of things, you mentioned being a nutrition specialist also. What do things look like in that field and what kind of effect does it have on athletes?
YES! Nutrition actually became the massive passion deep down inside me. I always loved, and still love the fitness side. That isn’t going anywhere! But over the years, after learning more about the nutrition aspect of everything, my love for it grew exponentially. Our body’s performance demands, recovery, sleep, hormones, stress levels and health as a human being are ALL resulting in the foods we provide for ourselves. After studying for almost 10 years, it has been AMAZING by learning and applying to self, to even better understand the why’s, what’s and how’s of it all.
We literally could be living life at 60% without even knowing it. And as a metaphor for athletes when it comes to nutrition, what good does it do to spending all of the time and money into building a race motor when it’s being fed the wrong fuel? Our body’s need the support from race fuel (proper food) to support all the building you are doing for it.
With food being such a big key to an athlete's success, how do you see the different supplements playing a role with an athlete?
Clearly there is no replacement for the food we need to provide for ourselves. But when it comes to achieving the greatest success with our fitness in general, that’s where I see supplements playing its key roles. They are here to “supplement” our nutritional intake of proper food and training demands. Just like the quality of the food we eat, the quality of the supplements are just as important also. That’s why I use and support Ryno Power products. Knowing that the product is clean, I personally feel and see the results too.
How long has Ryno Power been apart of your training regimen and why do you stick with it?
I have been using Ryno Power products now for about a year and a half. We first met at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National in 2016, and it started out with testing their product. After trying the product out, I developed a strong belief in the Ryno Power products. I wasn’t only because of taste or convenience in using the product, but how well I felt, and the benefits I began to feel using it. I too am not a supporter of things I don’t believe in, and Ryno Power is one a definitely stand by.
Favorite product and why?
It started out as the protein powders that were my favorite product(s) because of the flavor and the benefits I felt. But aside from being a sports conditioning specialist, I happily LIVE in my kitchen, from being a sports nutritionist as well. With that said, I started using the protein powders in different dishes I create.
But recently, a new favorite product of mine has actually been the Motivation pills! Those things work wonders. I've literally been getting dressed for a road or mountain bike ride with a client and not "motivated". But by the time I got on the bike, my whole perspective has shifted. Those Motivation pill have become a new best friend!
What do you notice when you are or aren't using Ryno Power?
I definitely don’t feel as well recovered. If I skip out on the Hydration powder during some longer cycling rides, I definitely feel way less efficient. Also, if I don’t have the Recovery pills on hand after workouts, my fatigue and soreness seems to creep in a bit more than usual. Those things pretty much travel with me everywhere I go!
What do you recommend to a rider who might be on the fence about possibly purchasing the product?
With any of your products, if it’s claiming to provide support through issues that you currently deal with or would like to improve on...the financial risk vs. reward seems MORE than worth it to me. If you try it and don't like it, check it off the list and move on. If you try it and like it, your progress lasts a lifetime!
Anything else you'd like to add about the product or company?
I know that there are plenty of companies on the market that could give the same statements as Ryno Power. However, the supplement world isn’t regulated by the same authorities as our food industry is. With that said, companies can make all the claims they want, and yet be far from the truth. With the time I've been with the brand now, I've been feeling Ryno Powers product pull through with each product.
ALSO, the long term relationship that comes with the Ryno Power brand can’t be matched. It’s not just a product you purchase, but the support and reliability they provide that comes with it.
How can someone get connected or in contact with you?
I like to serve a lot of people on Instagram and on Facebook, with posts that inspire and encourage others to pursue the best life possible. Ryno Power had the pleasure of attending Interbike 2017 in late September. The event, located in Mandalay Bay’s convention center was the main attraction to thousands of people looking at the “next big thing” in the bike world. From dealers, to buyers, and everything in between, local shops, tires, clothes and nutrition, Interbike 2017 was the yearly opportunity for the bicycle community to meet and talk business.
Among the hundreds of people, the Ryno Power team met and connected with, we had some standout visitors that stopped by the booth. Ryno Power athletes, Aaron Gwin, Anneke Beerten and Rachel Strait each came by for a chat and to talk about their season. Brand Ambassador Micky Dymond also stopped by and gave us a preview of his recently released book, The Legends of the Road. Additionally, we had news outlets Road Bike Action and Action Sports Journal both at the booth conducting interviews on day two with President and Owner, Ryan McCarthy.
This year’s Interbike was particularly special for Ryno Power because we announced that we will be releasing a bar and gels in the near future. It was exciting to get feedback from trusted sources on our proposed bar and to see everyone’s faces light up when we told them the exciting news! Also, as our Hydration Fuel is the newest product to the line, it was a featured in the special New Product Category for the show and had major visibility on display.
As the convention is mainly for companies to show dealers what they can stock and sell through their distribution, it was great to catch up with a few of our dealers such as BTI Inc. (Bicycle Technologies International) and even Lusty Industries all the way from Australia. We showcased a new setup for dealers to promote the brand in shops across the world and spent a lot of time chatting about new ideas. We also had some of our brand representatives in attendance from Florida, Arizona and Louisiana and spent time learning what tools they use for major success.
The event, held in Las Vegas, NV called for some fun time as well. The Ryno Power team spent the evenings gathered with clients and industry friends for dinner and drinks. One evening, we were taken up to the Foundation Room on the 62nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, it is a private bar that has a view that looks out over the entire strip. The room is dimly lit to offer the best view of the dazzling city off in the distance. Just the perks of working in a fun industry!
The event was a huge success overall, meeting so many awesome people in the industry and connecting with other brands who want to promote one another. We signed up athletes, connected with event promoters, met possible dealers, sampled Hydration Fuel and communicated with friends from Colombia and other South American countries that are eager to promote the product as well. We can’t wait for Interbike 2018, in Lake Tahoe, NV!
]]>It takes a lot to be a professional athlete. Consider Jared Graves for example, a Ryno Power athlete who is a 4X World Cup Champion, an Olympian, and most recently a competitor in the Enduro World Series. To compete at the level that Jared Graves competes at, you must be incredibly dedicated, talented, and hard-working. Between hours in the gym and on the track, Graves has to find a way to keep him motivated and energized. That is where Ryno Power’s Gladiator Pre-Workout comes in handy.
Ryno Power created a formula in Gladiator that gives incredible amounts of clean, healthy energy to the athlete without cutting any corners. The ingredients in Gladiator consist of Guarana Seed Extract, pure natural caffeine, and a performance blend created for the ultimate endurance athlete.
The Guarana Seed Extract comes from a plant that was named by the Guarana tribe in the Amazon and offers a primary source of caffeine. The extract is primarily used for: weight loss, enhancing athletic performance, and as a stimulant to help reduce mental and physical fatigue. The Guarana Seed Extract offers a more natural arch of energy which eliminates the crash that is often felt after taking pre-workout.
The performance blend is a specialty blend created for endurance athletes that are looking for longer lasting energy and focus. The performance blend consists of: Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, ActiGin®, and Beta Alanine. Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract is used for increasing energy, stamina, strength, mental capacity and an adaptogen to help the body adapt to and resist physical stress. The extract itself helps protect cells from damage, regulates the heartbeat, and has a potential to improve learning and memory. Lastly, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract is most often used for improving athletic supplements by shortening recovery time after long workouts. Beta Alanine is the modified version of the amino acid alanine which enhances muscular endurance and is known as the ingredient in pre-workout that offers the “tingly sensation”. ActiGin®, is a proprietary, all-natural plant based formulation derived from highly purified Panax Notoginseng and Rosa Roxburghii using pharmaceutical grade extraction processing technology. It aids in faster recovery due to the increased glycogen delivery to the muscle tissue resulting in more muscle fuel. Essentially, these ingredients are all plant based and commonly used, Ryno Power just created the best combination of the two!
The incredible flavor of Ryno Power’s Gladiator Pre-Workout comes from Non-GMO Natural Strawberry Lemonade flavoring that is comprised of 1 gram of fructose derived from fruit sugar and stevia. The best part of Ryno Power’s pre-workout is that it contains NO Aspartame, NO Sucralose and NO Creatine. It is a 100% clean product and WADA approved.
When creating this product, it was important that it was very clean and transparent with our athlete’s training and goals in mind. The product has NO Creatine because our studies show that creatine is bad for endurance sports resulting in quick bulking which doesn’t mix well with endurance athletes. This product is top notch and if it can get Jared Graves and our other athletes to the podium, it can help you achieve your athletic goals as well!
]]>Whey protein is a term often tossed around in the supplement world with little to no understanding of what it is. Whey protein is a highly refined ultra-filtered protein made from milk which leaves most of the fat and lactose behind. The three types of whey protein Ryno Power uses are whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, and hydrolyzed whey protein.
Whey protein concentrate is the most readily available form of whey that increases dietary protein intake and helps build or maintain lean muscle while reducing fat tissue. Whey protein isolate is a result of multiple folds of filtration. The isolates undergo multiple levels of filtration to remove lactose and fat content without altering the biological activity. WPI has all essential amino acids, is the purest form of whey and has lactose levels of less than 1% which makes it easily digestible and allows even lactose intolerant people to use it. Hydrolyzed whey protein is pre-digested which means it releases aminos at a faster rate and the digestion process is quicker.
Now that you understand the different whey protein options, it is important to understand the reason we use all three. As mentioned above, whey protein concentrate makes up 50% of the blend and is the slowest to break down which assists in maximizing muscle hypertrophy. Next, whey protein isolate is the second fastest to break down and is very easily digested. Finally, hydrolyzed whey protein breaks down the quickest and replenishes the muscles immediately. Using the blend of all three provides a continuous flow and supply of rich nutrients to the muscles and blood stream. It helps increase stamina, recover faster, develop explosive power, build and maintain a stronger physique and feel great throughout the day.
Ryno Power’s protein is comprised of only eight total ingredients. The protein contains no artificial flavors, no fillers, no thickeners and no xanthan gum which is often found in competitor’s protein. The chocolate protein specifically, is made with real, organic raw cacao for a delicious chocolate flavor. The seven other ingredients include: Himalayan salt added for its abundant minerals which helps regulate the water content throughout the body, the whey protein combo, glucose polymers for a proper carb: protein ratio to enhance recovery, a BCAA blend to promote muscle protein synthesis and increase muscle growth over time, organic cane juice extract (unrefined sugar) and stevia. This protein is essential to rebuild and refuel after a long day or training or racing. It can also be used as a meal replacement as it offers 27g of protein and less than 200 calories per serving.
